Behind The Lens

Location

Picture-hunting just after sunrise on the bank of Limestone Creek, Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge, Limestone County, AL, USA, this sandpiper came stepping through the shallows of the creek looking for a bite of breakfast. I was able to get several shots as he pranced along in front of me, this one being one of my favorites from that group.

Time

Just after sunrise, my favorite time to go picture-hunting, especially since it is a favorite time for wildlife to begin moving around.

Lighting

No special lighting, just the special light from sunrise.

Canon 7D, Sigma Lens 600, Manfrotto Monopod.
