Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Highlands,N.J. It's a rare lighthouse that is actually two. Twin lights lighthouse.

Time

I took this photo around 10pm. I was in the middle of delivering food for my job and decided to finally stop to take it.

Lighting

I like how Christmas lights can make a dark dreary place a bit more inviting.

Equipment

I had my Canon rebel t6i, and the stock 18-55mm lens.

Inspiration

Even though the twin lights are two lighthouses connected, only one was decorated with Christmas lights. I absolutely adored it. My only problem was that I had just lost my only zoom lens. Before the holidays were completely over I decided to hike up through parking lots and back yards to get as close as I could.

Editing

My post process is quite simple. Just a run through Adobe Photoshop Express that's installed on my phone. A little contrast, color enhancing and noise reduction.

In my camera bag

My camera bag has my Canon rebel t6i. It carries my 50-250mm, 75-300mm,50mm,10-24mm and a 18-55mm lens. I carry 3 macro extention tubes,an SD card container, and glass cleaning towlets, clothes, and a cleaning brush for sand. I carry a variety of filters as well but seem to always take them off. I keep a small tabletop tripod in my backpack as well because I usually forget a tripod which is a horrible habit!

Feedback

I like succeeding when it's something I really want to photograph. So if you're like me then hoping fences, hiking, getting dirty or wet comes with the territory.
