Location
This photo was taken in Cascais, Portugal.Time
It was about 3 PM.Lighting
It was a beautiful sunny day with a few clouds in the sky.Equipment
I didn't use any equipment other then my wonderful little Lumix DMC-TZ100.Inspiration
The old lighthouse of Cascais is a touristic place in Cascais with many visitors. I wanted to create an image of the lighthouse itself, without the extra signs and people which always come along with the touristic places... So I climbed a wall to get to the sea side of it and hurried to find a nice viewpoint because the "guards" were already coming to tell us to get to the right side of the lighthouse. Once I found the right place with a bit of a sunflair, I clicked a few times and went back before they lost their patience with me, LOL.Editing
I did a little post-processing in Lightroom to emphasize the colors and textures.I also corrected the dark side of the wall by adding some light to create a more balanced picture. In my camera bag
I don't have any equipment in my bag (yet) I am a beginning photographer and I am learning to use a camera, to look for the good light, composition and point of view. One day when I know how to use and set the camera well enough, I will start to think about a bag filled with technical things instead of the need to understand how it works first...Feedback
If you look at a subject to photograph, you have to try to realize what you want to achieve, Try to find the good light, the right point of view and the best composition... And most of all, take more shots with slightly different settings so you can choose the best one, once you got home and opened your laptop, the magic of today's world begins... I always crop it later into the size and composition I like best. Crop the photo in different ways, so you can choose the best one the next day when you can have a fresh look at them!day when you can have a fresh look at them!
