Behind The Lens

Location

this photo was taken close to my place, in Toronto on the Garrison crossing.

Time

It was a snowy day and I decided to go shoot some winter pictures. So I just left with my Nikon Z6, around 2 pm and walked towards the bridge and waited for a train.

Lighting

It was shot at ISO 100, f7.1, 1/400, 24mm. Since it was snowing, everything looked grey; so I had to do some editing to lighten the scene

Equipment

Nikon Z6, 24-200 mm lens

Inspiration

I was shooting the city from the bridge, through the fence; After watching a few trains go through in the storm, I wanted to photograph one with the fence in the foreground

Editing

I edited this photo in Lightroom; adjusted the highlights, shadow, white and black; added some clarity, lowered the vibrance and saturation

In my camera bag

It depends what I'm going to shoot. On this particular day, I was just carrying my mirrorless Nikon Z6 with the 24-200mm lens; it's light and easy to carry.

Feedback

Try different exposures, be patient and have fun.
