Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my backyard. I live near a nature preserve and there are several different types of animals that run through my yard. I usually keep my camera near the door so I can get a quick shot when I see a beautiful animal.

Time

Anytime of day there is a beautiful animal running past my back door.

Lighting

Because I keep my camera near the back door, the lighting is just what is available at that time. Most often I take my shots on a clear and bright day.

Equipment

I have a canon T2I and a cannon power shot pocket camera. I grab whatever camera is at my reach.

Inspiration

I live near a nature preserve and I just enjoy taking photos that I would not be able to take if I lived in the city. I’m just lucky to be able to take a photo when I see an opportunity.

Editing

I just took this shot and quickly added it to my computer. Usually I do a little processing on lighting and color. I try not to change my images too much, I like to keep them real.

In my camera bag

I have a pocket camera which I keep in my jeans pocket when I’m out on a walk through my community, or when I have a chance to take a walk on the boardwalk near the beach.

Feedback

I wish I could offer advice, but I’m just a lucky shutterbug. I take a shot when I can get it and also if the weather is sunny. I live in a 4 season area so as long as the temperatures are not very cold or very hot, I just try to take the shot.
