Here’s a detail shot of the slate cliffs above the blue lagoon in Abereiddy.

With the sea fog that seemed to be following us around on this trip eating up the views once again, I was struck by how painterly these rust patterns looked against the angular rocks of the old mine.

A few clicks of this and the camera went back in the bag for the day. And instead out came the portable grill.

This leads me to rule number one of all photo adventures: where the photography ends, the food begins.
