Location
The photo was taken in Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur. I am a self taught photographer, this photo was one of my photography assignment.Time
This is one of my favourite architecture photos, I remembered I was walking around in the late afternoon and looking for fascinating buildings to photograph. This photo was taken in February 20th, 2016Lighting
Where possible, I take my time to observe my subject, and have a good look around before shooting. This allows me to identify interesting angles and features of the building, and provides me the opportunity to look for light.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 70D, 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens with a Gitzo TripodInspiration
I love modernist architecture, it reveals so many structural details that are particularly photogenic. This building facade with two different pattern and shape, I found a good angles to highlight the features of the building.Editing
This photo shot in raw with colours, I had to develop the raw and convert to black and white. Then continue the correction of sensor dust, contrast, highlight, perspective and distortion. In my camera bag
The first thing I always pack is my Canon 5D with 16-35mm f/2.8L and 24-70mm f/2.8L, with these lenses allow me to identify interesting angles and features of the building. Tripod for low light scene and keep all of the scene sharp is imperative to architecture photography.Feedback
I tend to revisit my favourite architectural sites at different times of the day. Revisiting a site under different lighting conditions often reveals different details, making each shoot unique.
