Five years ago - during a photo trip of our photo club to Venice - a colleague who was my mentor and close friend died. Early in the morning, after hearing the news of his death, I took a photo of St. Mark's Square. By chance it was high water - Aqua Alta - and the Campanile and the Doge's Palace were reflected in the water. It became one of my best photos.
Five years later we took - also in memory of our friend - again the trip to Venice. This photo was taken during this trip.
I think he would be proud.
