Location
In the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador. This picture was captured on the south shore of Seymour Norte Island.Time
Around 9 AMLighting
Lighting was from my back illuminating the bird that was sitting in front of me. These birds are not scared of humans and are easy to photograph.Equipment
Handheld Sony DSC-$X400V camera that has a GPS incorporated. That is why I can tell you exactly where I was when I took the picture (I am not wise enough to remember).Inspiration
The colour red and the pose of the bird portrayed a male superiority theme (my wife would not agree). Only the males have the red pouch which the expand to attract the females. They even fly with the pouch semi-inflated.Editing
Just sharpened the image slightly to make crisp lines. In my camera bag
Just my camera for surface shots and an underwater camera for those underwater shots.Feedback
Go to extreme locations with astounding scenes and you will never fail to take good pictures.
