Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a beautiful city of Valencia, Spain

Time

I was heading for a sunrise family photoshoot at Art and sciences. As I was approaching the Opera House, I noticed the sun peeking behind it in its full glory.

Lighting

The yellow-orange morning light perfectly complimented the blue sky.

Equipment

This was shot on a Nikon D750, with a Tamron 24-70mm f2.8.

Inspiration

Seeing the sunrise light hitting the majestic building of the Opera house just stopped me in my tracks. The complementary colors, the textures in the pavement, and the sky surrounding the shiny building in otherwise tourist populated area, that now was deserted, it was a picture perfect moment.

Editing

I always bring out the textures and color, play with the curves, etc. Basically, I try to make the image to look the way I saw it.

In my camera bag

I used to carry my Tamron 24-70mm f2.8 with me all the time, since it’s such versatile lens. However, I noticed, I used wide angle most of the time and I also shot a lot in more challenging light situations. This realization lead me to purchasing Sigma art 24mm f1.4, which now lives on my Nikon. I love this lens!
