This was taken at Snyder Bend near Salix IowaTime
It was shaping up to be a beautiful evening and I was on the way to a light painting class. I knew the sunset would look spectacular at this lake so I went to check it out and was late to my class. But it was worth itLighting
The lighting was all mother nature'sEquipment
This was shot on my first camera nikon d3300 I'm not sure what lens I usedInspiration
I just knew the environment was going to be right while I was driving. It was pretty rushed setting it up as the sun was going down pretty quicklyEditing
I put it in lightroom and for one of the first times ever I felt the picture looked better before I edited it so it is pretty much untouchedIn my camera bag
Right now I have a D750, Tamron 15-30 g2, Tamron 24-70 g2, and a Tamron 70-200 g2 nikon 50mm 1.4 dji Mavic air 2 and a Novo explora T-20 at all timesFeedback
Go with your gut if you see nature opening up and are in an area where you know you can find an interesting composition go for it.
