Location
This photo was taken on a spur of the moment day trip to Multnomah Falls in Oregon.Time
The photo was taken around two in the after noon, the falls was packed with people as it is a major stop right off of the I84 interstate and is very popular. The sky was slightly cloudy and cool.Lighting
I have seen so many photos of the falls, always in color and always for every season. I wanted to take something different and decided monochrome would be a great way to really bring out how the sun was reflecting on the falls and also how the wind was affecting the fall off the water.Equipment
I just took my camera, no extras on this trip as it was a spur of the moment day trip to just get out of the house and drive. I still look at this photo and can't believe how lucky I was to have everything just align right to take this amazing shot.Inspiration
This is one of my favorite places and I have come here since I was little. So many great memories for me here. This was one of my first trips with my husband right after we got married. So I love coming here as much as I canEditing
This photo has had no touch ups, no processing, no edits. It was taken with a Nikon coolpix B500 camera. Literally the camera has a function to take monochrome photos. And this is what I was able to accomplish as is.In my camera bag
I normal have a canon eos T6 with all the bells and whistles in a camera bag that also includes my tripod as well.Feedback
Take your time and always pack your camera with you, the potential for a great shot could be there at anytime.
