This photo was taken in Davis, California. I worked in the area at the time. It was a very foggy morning, and I noticed a train broken down on the tracks. Luckily I had my camera with me and decided to pull over.Time
This was shortly before sunrise on my way to work. Normally, I would not have my camera with me, but for some reason I brought it with me on this particular day.Lighting
I was intrigued by the lights of the train and how they were able to pierce through the foggy conditions. The mood is rather ominous, as it is hard to tell if the train is moving or still on the tracks.Equipment
This shot was taken without a tripod. This was also taken with my first DSLR: Nikon D3300. Other details: ISO 100, Shutter 1/100, Focal Length 35/1?Inspiration
I had made it a goal to take some photos during my morning commutes. I was seeing some interesting conditions, and never had my camera bag with me. I started to take my drone and DSLR a couple of times a week, and was never disappointed with the results.Editing
All post-processing was done in Lightroom. Mostly simple adjustments were made. The lighting created the exact mood that I wanted on this particular morning. I must admit that I got a little lucky with this one.In my camera bag

Sometimes, the best shots are the ones that you do not expect to find. This particular shot, for example, is not something that I would have been able to naturally envision. I was lucky, and happened to have my camera with me. I think that is one of the reasons that makes photography so special.
