Location
This was in Durmitor national park in Montenegro.Time
It was in the afternoon, probably around 4 pm. We had been on a hike to one of the peaks in Durmitor and right at the peak we were caught in a thunderstorm. When the thunder and lightning stopped for some time we tried to descend as quickly as possible, because we expected there to be more thunder and lightning soon. We were very glad when we finally saw this hut.Lighting
It was very gloomy weather, so it was quite dark and grey. In the distance we did see some more lightning when the clouds opened up a little.Equipment
This was taken with a Canon Powershot SX200 IS. An old camera, but easy to take along on difficult hikes (at that point our best camera).Inspiration
We were very happy to see this hut, both because it could provide shelter and because it was just a great view: this single hut and these great mountains, with the clouds coming down.Editing
I didn't do a lot of post-processing, but I did make the hut and the rocks on the right a little brighter, so they stand out more.In my camera bag
I'm quite new to photography, so not a lot. Usually I only bring a (compact or bridge) camera and a small tripod (gorillapod) (and of course a smartphone).Feedback
I am still learning, so no technical advice. In this case my advice would be: whenever possible, enjoy the view (even if you are tired, cold and your feet are wet).
