His new forever home renamed him to. He is now spoiled and he even has little doggy bone hangers for all of his little outfits. He was adopted 2 days after me taking this photo of him at the rescue.

I took this photo at one of the rescues here in Phoenix Arizona, USA. I volunteer at these rescues to take portraits of dogs to help he them adopted out.Time
Around noon but no ambient light is present in this photo.Lighting
I used a 30 inch softbox top-left, about 45°. On the bottom right, just to fill in the shadows I used a speedlight bounces off of a piece of white paper.Equipment
I shot this photo with my first camera a long time ago, it was an 80D with the kit lens. Nothing special but it always got the job done and always produced great images for me. I still have my 80D but I shoot with the A7iii now.Inspiration
There are so many pups in this world that are constantly looking for their home. A rescue is not a home, it is a TEMPORARY place for the dog to be taken care of. My job is to speed up the process and get q rescue re-homed to a loving family as soon as possible.Editing
I always process my raw images. Working with dogs seamless paper doesn’t stay seamless very long so there’s almost always a couple creases or dog hairs that I have to clone out.In my camera bag
Nowadays I have my Sony A7iii, 24-70 2.8. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Godox AD200’s. They were totally worth the upgrade from my speed lights. (But I still use my speed lights as well.)Feedback
With dogs, or any animal, they have a mind of their own. The two things that help me get decent shots is patience, and pork chops. That second one is a must! There are so many rescues out there doing so much good for our animal community. As a photographer it is my duty to help show the side of the animals that people don’t get to see every day and hopefully get the pup adopted in the process. Thank you for considering my photo!
