From December 2018 until February 2019 I spent 300 hours looking for a great gray owl. In late February I found one 30 minutes from where I live.
I found that this great gray owl in particular only came out when it was snowing or raining, if the sun was shinning he would be nowhere in sight.
It was absolutely magical watching this beautiful owl perch, preen and hunt in his natural surroundings.
