Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken from the Exchange Place Water front in Jersey City. Behind the Grand Hyatt Hotel

Time

Photo was taken at night

Lighting

Clear sky With some clouds for effect and a bright Harvest Moon

Equipment

Zomei Tripod Nikon D850 17-35mm nikon f2.8 lens Smdv rfn4-tx wireless trigger

Inspiration

The Harvest Moon with the clouds made this photo. Without them it would have been just a simple picture of the New York Skyline. Long exposure was the trick

Editing

I used a second picture taken that night of just the moon to show some details of the moon

In my camera bag

Nikon cameras d7100 or d850 17-35mm f2.8 lens 70-300mm 4-5.6 zoom 50mm f1.8d B&w nd filters

Feedback

City skylines at night are pretty but if you have the chance to add natural elements like the Moon ,clouds and water the composition will be that much better. I lucked out it wasnt really cloudy and their was enough of a windy to help with the long exposure and cloud movement. Sometimes a little luck helps
