I captured this image near the Weeping Wall in Glacier National Park.Time
Arriving shortly before sunset, I had time to find a composition that had great foreground interest with the flowers without taking away from the amazing mountain views in the distance.Lighting

When I sat down to process the image in Lightroom I wanted to give it a slight painterly effect while keeping it true to the experience of being there.In my camera bag
I always have my Canon EOS R (and backup Canon 80D), along with a set of Tamron lenses: SP 15-30mm, SP 24-70mm, and SP 70-200mm (all G2s). If I think I'll need added reach or may encounter wildlife, I'll add my Tamron SP 150-600mm. That usually stays behind, though; it's a beast to carry!Feedback
A scene like this is beautiful any time of day but to make it stand out in a photo you need to leverage good light at sunrise or sunset. To elevate it above a simple snapshot, find a compelling foreground subject to help complement the scene. If you can find points if interest in the foreground, middle, and background of the frame, it will help draw the viewer's eye, and with leading lines and/or subtle processing adjustments you can lead them to your main subject (in this case, the amazing light on the mountains).
