Seriously! How can anyone say this California Red Jumping Spider is not cute? Here's four of his 8 puppy eyes begging for a fly. It is said that they are like kitties (maybe because they jump or follow laser pointer dots), but I see puppy in there for sure. This spider was looking straight into my eyes (okay, my lens) . How do I know this? I can only see black in his eyes...his retina. Their eyes and how they work is fascinating.
