Atop the decking area of the Corn Mill the ambience is most delightful. Not only is it the ideal pub for both connoisseurs and epicures but a great viewpoint. Throughout the weekend buses have been pulling in car-parks and lay-bys in Llangollen, offloading tourists from everywhere imaginable. Every drinking and eating establishment is jam-packed and multilingual noise decibels are hitting full scale. I think the notion that men can’t multi-task is harsh and I might have done just enough to debunk it. Handling camera and tripod with one hand, sipping Guinness with the other, meanwhile getting distracted by the elder couple sat on the table next to me, who are getting inquisitive and keep asking me about holidays in Crete, ain’t easy. This is the best I could conjure up given the pressure.
The stream is still gurgling and burbling. The night is yet young.

:-) a fun read with a gorgeous photo, multitasking is obviously not a problem, and has now been thoroughly documented ... Lovely light and great texture on the water, especially the gurgling and burbling bit...

Thanks Kristina! The scene might look serene and soothing to the eye, but not to the ear. If you sit there or thereabouts, the sound of the water is immense

Just as I was, Bozena... river Dee is a fast flowing river. At the time of the photo it was fairly calm but a few weeks later it was running wild, following heavy rain in the mountains.
