Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Cozumel, Mexico.

Time

At noon.

Lighting

Taken with natural light, I was seeking the shade of palm trees, and letting the strong sun rays scape through the leaves to expose her eye.

Equipment

I was using Nikon d610, with a Nikon 70-200/F2.8.

Inspiration

I was doing a portrait session, and the light was terrible, noon!, looking for a place in shade gave the chance to achieve a better lighting.

Editing

Skin retouch was done, aye enhancement, coloring with Lightroom.

In my camera bag

Camera body. lenses, 50mm / 24-70 / 70-200mm Canon. light meter. grey card. speed light. small reflector for catch light.

Feedback

when you have a strong sun light always look for shelter, light patterns and under expose your images a little so you can keep highlights in control. and in post processing pull the shadows.
