Location
I took this photo up at 10,000 feet elevation on top of Mount Lemmon, which is in the Santa Catalina Mountains right near Tucson ArizonaTime
This photograph was taken at about 2 PM, on a slightly overcast day under the shade of trees.Lighting
I really liked the way the ferns were well lit but with dark shadows underneath.Equipment
This was a handheld shot with my Nikon D850 , With standard kit lens.Inspiration
I was very attracted to the look of the ferns in the forest floor. I saw this pair of fresh vibrant green fern intermingling in a cool design with the golden decaying fern.Editing
I did use light room I believe I increased the contrast and darkened the shadows. In my camera bag
I Normally just carry my Nikon D850 with a 24-120 lens. But I also have a 14-30 wide angle lens.Feedback
I personally like to shoot plants in low light conditions as opposed to lots of brightness.
