Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken at a family picnic in the mountains of Gerês in Portugal

Time

It was already late afternoon with the sun disappearing on the horizon, my daughter is with an air quite tired and sad because did not want to return home.

Lighting

When I was watching her sadly in the distance, I immediately thought I was going to take a beautiful picture, then adding that she was right in front of the sunlight, if it had taken a few more minutes and the sun would be hidden in the mountains.

Equipment

It was taken with a Canon EOS 100D camera f/5.6 1/250 160.00mm ISO 200

Inspiration

One of the things I like to photograph most is people and as such I just need to observe a different possession or a more penetrating look that I am photographing right away.

Editing

I love black and white photographs, but I always photograph in color and of course the only processing of this photograph was to change it to black and white and darken it a little more to give a feeling of much more sadness.

In my camera bag

I always leave the house with my Canon EOS 100D plus my lenses: I use the 35mm F / 1.4L in the vast majority of my photos, as it is a fixed lens and is used for portraits and street photography. I use the 50mm F / 1.4 because it has a good quality, it is good for making portraits, details and landscapes, all without distorting the image, with a beautiful blur and it is still light. And of course always with the tripod to accompany.

Feedback

The best way to get good pictures for me is to practice as much time as we can and this is only possible for those who make this a passion.
