Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during a workshop of outdoor photography, at the mountains of Itatiaia National Park, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Time

This photo was taken at nightfall. The ground was very unstable, and it was very difficult to get the tripod in the right position, so it took me several attempts in order to get the right focus on the tent.

Lighting

A flashlight was positioned inside the tent in order to get this effect.

Equipment

Canon EOS REBEL T3i, with an 18/55 lens.

Inspiration

I have always been fascinated by trekking in the mountains, and also by night photography. This photo represents my passion for both.

Editing

Only minor adjustments at Lightroom.

In my camera bag

My equipment is very modest. I have my Canon EOS REBEL T3i, with two lens, a 18-55 and a 75-300, and a tripod.

Feedback

Long exposure pictures require a lot of patience, but the result is definitely worth it.
