Behind The Lens

Location
I took this photo inside my home. I was looking for a creative shot so I gathered some items from family members to set up the enticing red display.
Time
It was early evening. No distracting glares or natural light to make it too bright. The evening darkness enabled me to create my own light on the objects where needed for the nice red glow.
Lighting
I believe having a red and black background helped obtain nice depth on the macro shot.
Equipment
Nikon D750 with my macro lens. I did use the tripods for the series of shots I took that day, including this one. No flash just some artificial lighting from a near by lamp. Normal lighting no filters or colored lights.
Inspiration
I love macro and was trying to be creative with the cooking theme, so using items from family members in the house and odd angles it gave a great opportunity for a creative challenge, going beyond the cup of coffee.
Editing
No post processing or editing.
In my camera bag
Always my Nikon D750, Tamaron 150-600 zoom and my macro lens, tripod optional most days unless I plan to spend a long day with the Tamron which quickly wears out the arm! Extra batteries are also essential.
Feedback
Shot anything common from an odd angle, add color and change distance. Show ordinary from an unusual position. Most of all never stop shooting and have fun.
