This photo has been ten years in the making. I've been trying to get the right storm to capture lightning in front of the Beartooths. It proves to be very difficult getting the right kind of light to show mountains and not have the storm completely distort the outline. As a photographer we have shots in our mind or on our bucket list, or what I refer to as a Unicorn. They don't happen very often and you have to be at the right place and the right time. Last night just proved to be my lucky day. Not only did I get the right storm, but the setting sun made for some great color.
