Split Rock Lighthouse. I took this photo because of the extreme perspectives in height and the challenge to get a good focus both near and far! There is also a big controversy here about stone stacking.

I took a photo of a sunset with a cairn like that in the foreground from a similar perspective. One comment I got was that the cairn dominated and pulled attention away from my subject. It’s all about perspective isn’t it? I took a series of photos from the camera almost on the rocks to the highest the tripod would go. I wanted the viewers eye to go to the cairn first and look much bigger than the cliff and lighthouse. Of course the cliff and lighthouse is much bigger but it doesn’t look like it. With much of my work it’s about moving the eyes through the entire photo to see what it’s about. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, Don! Much appreciated!
