It was a new day along the coast in North Carolina as the sun had just cast its first rays upon the shore. Tidal pools were glistening in the early morning light, and a purple glow was cast over the sand.
With low tide now fully in control, there were some beautiful textures to be found along the beach. Rocks and shells had been deposited overnight during the previous high tide, and lie in wait for the next one to return them to the sea.
The combination of rock, water, and retreating tide helped form what appeared to be a path leading directly to the sun. It was indeed a beautiful early morning in North Topsail.

"Purple Sunrise" is an HDR image constructed from 6 bracketed shots - 1 stop differential between each image.
The image was processed w- ACR, Photomatix, and finished in Photoshop (includes the use of Topaz Labs plugins -- Adjust, Clarity, Clean, Denoise, Glow and LensFX).
