Pictured here is a view of the Bass Harbor Head Light. I’ve always felt the Bass Harbor lighthouse had a very mysterious look to it, as it’s quietly tucked away among the trees & rocky cliffs of (what’s known as) Mount Desert Island.

I've always loved this lighthouse, and wanted to see if I could add a little extra mood to an already moody light. I added in the sky for dramatic effect in post. Hope it looks natural enough, as I tried to match the light from the lighthouse pic with that of the clouds that were added in.

The Bass Harbor lighthouse was originally constructed in 1876, and is part of Acadia National Park. The light can be found in the Southwest section of the park, and marks the entrance to Bass Harbor and Blue Hill Bay.
