Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Waco, TX along the Brazos River. I am a self taught photographer that uses every shoot as a learning experience.

Time

I met the owners for the photo shoot mid morning.

Lighting

Since it was mid morning, the sun was in the perfect spot to add a nice glow.

Equipment

This was shot with a Canon Rebel T-5 camera with a 18-55 mm lens. There was no other equipment used.

Inspiration

The owners of the dog are family friends of mine and wanted family pictures. Cash (this dog) and their other dog, Bentley, are their “children” and therefore are included in their family pictures.

Editing

The only post-processing I did was a little cropping.

In my camera bag

In my small camera bag, I usually carry my camera, the 18-55 mm lens, a 55-250 lens and my battery charger.

Feedback

Advice I would give for a similar picture is to trust and believe in yourself, and have patience. Taking pictures of animals can be quite challenging.
