Seen here is a closeup of Queen Beatrice, one of the Eurasian Eagle Owls currently residing at the Carolina Raptor Center. Queen B was certainly ruffled up about something (perhaps it was my presence), as she scowled pretty intently in my direction.
I was a pretty good distance away during this shot, and made sure to not invade her space... Perhaps this was her way of telling me to be certain it stayed that way. ;)
