Always alert for lions and other predators, the giraffe and zebra were suddenly turned in the direction of something that had caught their attention in Nairobi National Park, Note that the zebra is using its ears to detect what it was while giraffe is looking but not turning its ears towards whatever it was, perhaps reflecting that the giraffe, with its much greater height has a sight advantage over the zebra. What I do not know is how much scent also was playing a role in assessing their situation.
