Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken deep in a local forest In Canada. I am a self taught photographer.

Time

This photo was taken at around 4:00 because I wanted to make sure that the lighting was not too harsh.

Lighting

I wanted to make the photo look mysterious and dark because that’s the style I usually enjoy.

Equipment

The equipment used was a Nikon d3300 with a f1.8 50mm lens and a smoke bomb.

Inspiration

I was thinking about how cool it would be to use a smoke bomb and give a somewhat bland colour scheme some pop

Editing

Yes In this photo I decided to darken the models face (which was already very underexposed) and darken the overall image while adding some contrast.

In my camera bag

I usually carry with my my Nikon d3300 with a 50mm lens and I also usually carry with me my 85mm lens.

Feedback

My advice would be to use a fast shutter speed so that you can capture the smoke correctly.
