Location
A SilverSea SE Asia cruise stop in Aceh, Indonesia brought us to several exotic and beautiful coastal areas including some popular beaches. A lovely young fellow traveler from Italy was so happy to be beach bound that she proceeded to reel off countless selfies! To my photographer’s eye, that was the new “street scene”.Time

Not the best time of day for general landscape and coastal photography but since the subject was a nearby “bathing beauty” full noon sunlight sufficed.Equipment
A Canon EOS 5D Mark III with a EF 24-105mm F/4L IS USM lens.Inspiration
So picturesque and lush was this SE Asian coastal area that I had to disembark with my “big” camera for some shoots!Editing
Very minor of the normal touch ups such as cropping. White balance.In my camera bag
The above described Canon and zoom lens. Also, a prime EF 50mm F/1.4 USM. Some lens cleaning items. Rarely, I’ll have a tripod and/or a monopod. Being a minimalist, I use/need few other accessories such as flash equipment, light meters, etc.Feedback
The best advice I’ve heard as it relates to photography is the answer to the perennial question “which is the best camera to have?”.....the answer, of course, is the one on you! If you don’t have one with you, you’ve missed that sudden opportunity! That’s why I always have the latest iPhone 11 Pro Max with me.
