I gathered this image of the T-6 trainer taxing out for a demonstration flight at the 2011 Santa Rosa Air Show. I had ramp access as I was gathering images for the Santa Rosa Air Museum at the time. I liked the yellow color on the T-6 trainer and the tails of the parked aircraft to the right. The North American Aviation T-6 Texan is an American single-engined advanced trainer aircraft used to train pilots of the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF), United States Navy, Royal Air Force, and other air forces of the British Commonwealth during World War II and into the 1970s. The T-6 Trainer was Designed by North American Aviation. It remains a popular warbird aircraft used for airshow demonstrations and static displays. It has also been used many times to simulate various Japanese aircraft, including the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, in movies depicting World War II in the Pacific. A total of 15,495 T-6s of all variants were built.

Nice shot of the T-6 - I was a pilot in the RAF in the 1950s and trained on this aircraft, named the Harvard in Europe, and I loved it even though it could be a beast to fly at times. Best wishes, John.
