Rotterdam is known as the 'City Of Architecture', and for good reason.
Since the city was heavily bombed and almost completely dstroyed by the Luftwaffe during WWII, it has been rebuilt over this time.
The reconstruction really started to increase the pace in the late '90's - '20's which has given Rotterdam an ultra-modern vibe.
This can be seen a few moments after you get off the train - the new Centraal Station opened in 2014.
