Great photo, I am adding this one to my favorites for this challenge.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Struisbaai Harbour. It's a little town in the Western Cape Province in South Africa

Time

This was taken around 10 in the morning

Lighting

It was a cloudy day with only spots of sun

Equipment

I took this photo with a Nikon D850 and a Tokina Pro 16-28mm 2.8 lens. I took the picture from a low point of view using the live view screen tilted up.

Inspiration

It was raining a lot the previews night and the boats were out of the water due to stormy winds. I was hoping to catch a reflection shot in one of water puddles and was lucky to get a big one that day.

Editing

I used Aurora HDR 2019 as I love it's HDR structure editing to make the subject jump out.

In my camera bag

My Nikon D850, with all my lenses (you never know what you might find). Sometimes I'll leave my flash and tripod at home

Feedback

A camera with a tiltable screen help a lot to really get low without getting wet. The massive Dynamic range with the Nikon D850 helps a lot as well (minimal editing and filters required). The wide angle lend helps a lot as well to enable you to get close to the subject and still frame it properly.
