We were traveling in Minnesota so that I could interview and write about bed and breakfast innkeepers. This particular week-end I was speaking at a conference and had decided to stay over in a log cabin on the water's edge of Spirit Lake. It was the day after the close of the conference and decided to rise early and take a few shots of the sunrise before breakfast. As I neared the dock below our cabin, I saw a number of animals and birds beginning to stir, then suddenly the sun began to rise and when it hit the water it began to glow. I captured this image just a moment or two after first noticing the glow on the water.
