Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was shot at a local amusement park, Lagoon in Farmington Utah. It was towards the end of golden hour and there were som low hanging cloud directly behind me causing an eerie scene to emerge.

Time

Towards the end of golden hour about 8:30ish in June.

Lighting

Always be aware of the lighting and have a good camera with you. I was headed to grab the car after a long day at the park when I found this. If I hadn’t been prepared and hadn’t heard been looking I would have missed this opportunity all together.

Equipment

Canon Rebel T6

Inspiration

Originally I had noticed the sun setting behind two bands of clouds, but abandoned that shot due to man made immovable Objects, f###in power poles...turning dejected I realized the light was creating a super eerie effect on this ride.

Editing

A little bit of vignette on the edges.

In my camera bag

A Canon of some kind, several Tamron lens ranging from 16-600mm and my old trust Voigtlander Bessamatic lenses.

Feedback

Alway be shooting!!
