Location
This photo was taken in the Brecon Beacons in Wales. It is one of the four waterfalls on the four falls track.Time
This photo would have been taken about 4.00pm as I started this four hour walk around the waterfalls late in the day.Lighting
Although it was a sunny day, the afternoon light was behind all the trees, giving shade to the water.Equipment
A used a Nikon D7200 with a Nikon 18-200mm lens and tripod.Inspiration
I love taking photos of waterfalls and tried to get the best shot I could being so close to the falling water.Editing
I shoot in RAW even though I keep the post processing to a minimum. All I did with this shot is bring up the shadows and bring out the green foliage. In my camera bag
At that moment, I had a Nikon D7500 with a spare battery, Nikon 18-55mm AF-P lens, Nikon 70-300mm AF-P lens, shutter release cable, tripod and 10x ND filter.Feedback
I would say if you want to take photos of waterfalls you need a tripod and a ND filter would be handy at times. Try different positions and shutters to get the shot you’re happy with.
