Location
I took this photo from a tour boat while approaching Rose Island, RI.Time
The photo was taken at 12:35pm.Lighting
The sun was hid behind a cloud and the light hit the lighthouse in a way that it was perfectly illuminated, it was one of those rare times that you don't have to do anything special, just point and shoot.Equipment
To take this shot I hand held a Canon Rebel T3i. A Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens. Iso 100, 55 mm, f10, 1/250.Inspiration
I love lighthouses and often plan trips around visiting and photographing them.Editing
I use the HDR feature in Aurora HDR.In my camera bag
I just upgraded from the Canon Rebels, to the Canon 6D Mark II. So now I carry in my bag, my Canon 6D Mark II, with battery Grip and manual, 3 lenses; Canon 24 -105mm, Canon 28 - 300 mm, and Canon 150 - 500 mm. My Altura speed light. Canon Rain Coat, and extra batteries.Feedback
Have patients and learn to work with the light you have.
