Behind The Lens

Location

It was taken on a photoshoot I was doing over three days last May with Nicole,it was the second day and we had already been to one iconic location in the morning and I decided we should go around my hometown of Lancaster. The location was a coffee shop in a building called the Music Rooms a very old Victorian building.

Time

Mid morning.

Lighting

It was actually quite dull and raining.

Equipment

I use a Nikon D810 with a 24-70mm lens hand held no tripod.

Inspiration

We where looking for some where else to shoot while walking around Lancaster and I thought of this place we went in for a coffee and I decided to try shoot through the window and do a lifestyle shot.

Editing

Yes a little bit in Lightroom just to darken the back ground

In my camera bag

Nikon D810 and Z6 and a 3 Nikon lenses 24-70mm 85mm 50mm and recently just bought a Godox AD300 flash.

Feedback

I was working with a model so it was easy to get the shot, you could try street photography and shoot through a window with a polariser filter on to cut down on the reflections in the window.
