Terrific shot! Did you have to coach the model in order to get this look?

Behind The Lens

Location
I took this photo in Ukraine. We chose a beautiful room in one of the hotels to simulate a home photoshoot.
Time
We wanted to create a romantic image, so we did make-up and hair all morning and started our photoshoot around 11 a.m.
Lighting
Although the day was cloudy, I used only daylight from the window. So it turned out so soft and almost without shadows.
Equipment
I used my camera canon eos 5d mark ii and a fantastic portrait lens canon ef 85mm f1.2L usm
Inspiration
I had just purchased a lens and couldn't wait to test it. Of course, the beautiful model also inspired me.
Editing
Yes, i did a light-and-color correction in lightroom and also a portrait retouch in photoshop.
In my camera bag
Usually, in my backpack, you can find 3 lenses canon ef 50mm f1.4 usm, canon ef 16-35mm f2.8L usm ii, and my favorite canon ef 85mm 1.2L usm. And, of course, my camera canon eos 1d X. These are my magic wands.
Feedback
I recommend using portrait lenses with aperture 1.2-1.8 and light from the window as it will make the picture soft and airy. And I advise you to connect with the model; it's half of your success when you shoot a close-up photo like this.
