This photo was taken on the flight line at Charleston Air Force Base during a Three Doors Down concert for the troops. I was fortunate enough to get a back stage photography pass.Time
If I remember correctly it was late afternoon.Lighting
The lighting was sort of fun to work with since the musicians were in a hangar that opened at the end for overflow of concert goers. I had a darker indoor backdrop with stage lighting to contend with but also natural lighting peeking through other spots of the venue. This stage shot (and all other stage shots) has the perfect blend of lighting to help create these types of shots.Equipment
I used Cannon of course (I have a 5 & a 7). I used my 85mm 1.8 on a lot of shots that day due it’s ability to capture great clear shots in challenging and darker lighting. I had to make sure I was up close.Inspiration
The question is, why wouldn’t I be inspired? Just about anything I do I immediately want to turn it into a photo. It’s in my blood.Editing
I didn’t do much at all... probably darkened the photo a bit.In my camera bag
My go to Cannons (5 & 7), 85 & 50 mm and my I phone of course. Some of the photos I’ve played with are crisper than my Cannon.Feedback
I HATE POSING! I find that the best shots are candid... you just have to be on your toes to get ‘em!
