Behind The Lens

Location

We spend our vacations in a small fishing village on the Normandy coast, Grandcamp-Maisy.. The harbor is always full of photo ops.

Time

Early evening, but in the summer, the sun does not go down until past 10 PM.

Lighting

On a clear day, the light is always soft and warm. A pleasure to work with!

Equipment

Nikon D5200 16-80 mm lens hand-held

Inspiration

Always looking for new ways to shoot the colorful boats. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.

Editing

Maybe a bit of extra saturation and some cropping.

In my camera bag

Nikon D5200 with 10-24 wide angle, 16-80 normal lens and 70-300 telephoto. Polarizers for all lenses and an ND2 filter.

Feedback

Come late on a sunny day when the boats are in, and ignore the No Entry to the Docks signs.
