Behind The Lens

Location

I took this in my front yard using one of my telescopes with a point and shoot camera held up to the eyepiece of the telescope.

Time

The photo was shot at night

Lighting

The light of the moon was adequate to take a snap shot using a telescope

Equipment

Camera was a point and shoot Canon EXZ2000 held up to the eyepiece of a telescope

Inspiration

I've always been fascinated by the moon. One of my personal friends was Gene Cernan, who was the last man to ever step on the moon. The skies in general have always fascinated me and I have two telescopes to explore it and always enjoyed the spectacular views I got during my 25 year career as an airline pilot.

Editing

None at all.

In my camera bag

Normally I shoot with a handheld Sony A9 II with a Sony 100-400 GM lens

Feedback

Of course the best astro photos are going to be by using a camera attached to a good telescope.
