This is a shot of Scarlett, an extremely old fox who was a regular visitor to my property situated on the the shores of Georgian Bay, in the Great Lakes region of OntarioTime

Not sure whether it was from an iPhone or a Canon. It was taken a number of years ago.Inspiration
Scarlett was at the end of her life. She was almost blind, and if you look at her back, you will see that she is covered with burrs. If she was standing, you would see that she was having problems walking. I felt her life, and her struggles deserved to be documented, and appreciated. She was a great fox.Editing

Always be ready for the unexpected. I take a lot of wildlife shots, and it is good to know a species habits, like what time of the day they come out to eat, what time of the year they have babies, areas they might have dens, etc. Respect the environment that you are shooting in, and remember you are in their home, not them in yours.
