Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken during a flower festival in Pralormo's Castle. The event is focused on the different species of poppies with large compositions created in the gardens of the estate.

Time

I take this shot in the mid of the day to catch the strongest light possible through the flowers petal and avoid the mass of people during the "right hours" to take photographs.

Lighting

The light was horrible but in such situation is fundamental to try different composition and move the attention of the viewer on the strongest part of the image (the color and transparency of the flower)

Equipment

Sony ilce7R M3 with 24-70mm f 2.8 GM lens

Inspiration

The shape of the flower and the light that hit those petals

Editing

Nope, but when I shoot other kinds of stuff like landscape and portrait I use Capture One and Photoshop for the color correction.

In my camera bag

I'm moving to Fujifilm because the jpegs that give me the camera are almost perfect. What I like is shooting and not spend a lot of time in front of a computer.

Feedback

Think out of the most diffused photography rules and try to shoot what really interest you
