Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a simple garden in the suburbs of Paris.

Time

This was taken on April 7 in the middle of the afernoon, at exactly 3:19 PM.

Lighting

I just used natural light to create this special portrait. That day, the sun wasn't too strong and the sky was a little cloudy.

Equipment

This was shot on a canon 5D Mark IV with a 24-70mm f2,8 Art Sigma lens. I love it because it offers all the features that make it a suitable lens for all photographic situations.

Inspiration

Chance! Ahahaha! When entering in Louella's garden, I saw these very beautiful peonies (peonies are my favorite flowers) and I immediately had an idea in mind! So we cut one flower especially to take this pic. My goal was to bring out the beauty of this flower.

Editing

I do a post-processing of all my pics. I love taking pictures but photo editing on Lightroom and photoshop is a real passion for me. With Lightroom I change the green and yellow tones and the saturation of the greens and I increased the purple and magenta hues. I also used the partial turn tool. I haven't use photoshop here because I usually use it for portrait retouching but in this pic, the model's face is very blurry!

In my camera bag

I just have in my bag my favorite lens by Sigma 24-70mm 2,8 Art and my Canon 5D Mark IV. The combination of these 2 materials allows me to be fully satisfied with the quality of my photos.

Feedback

The choice of materials is very essential. I pay close attention to the sunshine because too much light is difficult to manage despite good equipment. Have fun with your editing software and learn how to correctly adjust the tones for a stunning result! (I am French so I am sorry of my English!)
