Location
The photo was taken on June 27th, 2015 during a shoot. In the morning we were in the studio and after lunch we went to a small park in the village where I live.Time
I took the photo at 1:06 p.m. under an overcast sky. It was a wonderful, soft light.Lighting
Soft light is particularly important in portrait photography. It flatters the skin and hides small blemishes and wrinkles. You should avoid harsh shadows.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS 5d Mark III with the EF 24-105mm f / 4.0l USM.Inspiration
It's one of many photos I took that day. I uploaded some photos from that day to ViewBug.Editing
The contrast was minimally edited with Lightroom, otherwise the image was not further edited. In my camera bag
My preferred camera is a Canon EOS 5d Mark III. The lenses I have from Canon are the EF 11-24 mm f / 4 L, EF 50 mm f / 1.4, EF 24-105 mm f / 4 L, EF100 mm f / 2.8 L Macro and EF 100-400 mm f / 4.5 -5.6 L IS II. Before I start taking photos, I think about what I would like to photograph and accordingly choose which lenses I take with me and whether I need a tripod. It is important for me to only take the most necessary things with me, as there is quite a bit of weight that you have to carry with you. If I don't know what to expect, I'll take the 24-105 and the 100-400 with me. If I don't have a camera with me, I'll take photos with my iPhone.Feedback
In portrait photography in particular, you can't take enough photos. A different pose, a different smile, a different look or a different image detail can bring about amazing changes.
